Well, it's officially the beginning of fall. After days of roasting, it's wonderful to feel fall is in the air. Autumn is my favorite time of year. I just love sweater weather, football and cool mornings with hot tea. Let's hope the days ahead are filled with meaningful learning and many wins for the Bears!!
I have started posting weekly newsletters on Edline. The third grade teachers take turns writing the weekly newsletter about the curriculum common to third grade. I will start to update the blog on a more regular basis and continue to e-mail. Hopefully, you will get a good sense of what's going on in class, but if ever you have a question, feel free to call or e-mail.
We are currently studying the skeletal system, along with Author's Purpose. I have added some links to the blog for the students to play and practice which will reinforce the topic. Also, I have re-arranged and added some more math links. I am still playing with Edline, but for now, if you go to the Edline site, I have a link to my blog. If you check the 3rd Grade Newsletter link on the top left of the Edline page for weekly updates and you go to the bottom right and click on the blog from time to time for educational links and info pertinent to 3BA, you should be in the know:) all in one place. Everyone loves one-stop shopping right?
I am going to the BYTO training on Tuesday and looking forward to learning about how I can bring technology and learning together with home devices. Please send the permission slips back with your student.
