Rainforest Party Wednesday 2/6 - Donations Due! - Please send in your assigned food Wednesday morning with your student. Also, any money your student earned to donate to the Kids Saving the Rainforest foundation is due on Wednesday as well. Remember, put the money in the envelope with your student's name, but not the amount. We will see how much money we earned at the party.
Thursday 2/7 Science Fair - The Science Fair is from 6:30-8:00 and we have over 150 entries. Is anyone from 3BA participating? I can't wait to see the projects.
Six Flags Great America Reading Forms due Fri. 2/8 - Calling all readers! The Great America reading forms are due on Friday. Unfortunately, there will be no late forms accepted, so don't forget! Students must have documented 360 minutes of reading at home. Mrs. May has extra forms in the LMC.
Valentine's Parties Thurs. 2/14- Remember, it's district policy not to allow any food "treats" to be passed out with Valentine's. There is a tab on the blog with a class list. If you are participating in the Valentine exchange, make sure to include all the students in the classroom. We have 26 students.
Young Author Manuscripts due Wed. 2/27 - For those students participating in the Young Authors program, the final manuscripts are due on Friday, February 15th.
February Reading Incentive !!! This month Mrs. May has the coolest reading reward ever. All students that reach their reading goal this month will receive a free ticket to May Watts Night to watch a Kane County Cougars baseball game. Did you know the cougars are a farm team for the Chicago Cubs?!! I would love it if all of 3BA met their goal this month- then we could have a blast on May 14th cheering on the Cougars!

those students who met their goal will receive an order form. All tickets must
be purchased through the school since all the May Watts families will be seated
together. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
(The 4th
& 5th Grade Chorus will be singing at the 5/14 Cougar’s game
during the 7th inning stretch. Chorus students should also work
toward their reading goal to earn a free ticket.)

I can't thank the 3BA parents enough for all the time and donations made to make our rainforest unit such a success. The students learned a great deal and are definitely more aware of how important rain forests are to the world! Kids can make a difference :)
